ABOUT THE FRIENDS OF BAREFOOT BEACH PRESERVE
The Friends of Barefoot Beach Preserve is a volunteer organization dedicated to preserving, protecting, and enhancing natural features of the Barefoot Beach Preserve. We foster research and education endeavors, distribute literature, and secure volunteers to assist Collier County at the Preserve.
Volunteers play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the Friends of Barefoot Beach Preserve. Volunteer opportunities abound from tree trimming, invasive plant removal, beach cleanup, gardening, painting, maintenance, gopher tortoise watch, becoming a docent, interacting with visitors or helping with special projects. Please consider making a commitment to join our team. If you want to learn more about becoming a volunteer, simply send us your contact information and we will get in touch with you.
The Friends of Barefoot Beach Preserve is only as strong as its members and donors make it. Your support is essential to ensure the continuation of programs and projects that are related to the coastal environment and focus on protection of the Preserve. Your generous donation will help ensure the continuation of special and ongoing projects for the protection and preservation of the Preserve for future generations. Individuals may sponsor wall displays at the Learning Center.

As a member, you will receive periodic E-Newsletters and announcements of lectures, exhibits and special events such as the Annual Meeting/Luncheon. Your dues help the Friends further the protection of the Preserve while promoting the responsible enjoyment of this unique treasure. If you are interested in joining you can download a membership form below or pickup a membership envelope when you visit the Learning Center at the Preserve.
An Annual Membership Meeting is held every year in March. During each annual meeting, we socialize and learn about current projects at the Preserve. The Friends President gives the Annual President's message. This is also the time we honor special milestones of our volunteers. Reservations are required. Members should look for an invitation the beginning of each year.
BUY A BRICK
Another great way to show support is to purchase a commemorative brick. Bricks are placed in front of the Learning Center at the Preserve and are a unique way to remember loved ones, honor family or friends, or memorialize a special occasion. You may put a special saying, use clip-art, or just put your name and/or special date. Different sized bricks accommodate different amounts of verbiage. Periodically, e-newsletters are sent to members by the Friends of Barefoot Beach Preserve.
